Ladies' formal suit: The button usage is basically the same as men's suit, with most placket buttons and cufflinks using 32L+24L (approximately 20mm+15mm).

Ladies' formal coat: Most front buttons and cufflinks use 40L+28L (approximately 25mm+18mm), while a small number of front buttons and cufflinks use 36L+28L (approximately 23mm+18mm).
Women's coats with casual or fashionable styles are not limited to button sizes, depending on the style. The larger buttons used for the placket can even be 48L (about 30mm) or 54L (34mm).
3. Button sizes for men's and women's formal shirts
Men's shirts: Most of them use 18L (about 11mm) for the placket buckle, 14L (about 9mm) for the sleeve fork and collar tip, and occasionally use 16L (about 10mm) uniformly, without matching the size buckle.
Women's shirts are mostly made in 16L (about 10mm) size, and generally do not use sizes larger than 16L. If there is a sleeve fork, use 14L.
Only a few special styles of shirts are available, and men's casual style placket also uses 20L (about 13mm) or 24L (about 15mm), while women's shirts occasionally use 18L (11mm) or 14L (9mm).
Due to post-processing of buttons, the size and diameter of newly made buttons may not be exactly right, and may be slightly smaller. For example, an 18L diameter, theoretically 11.43mm, may be
exactly 11mm after processing.
In addition, for irregular buttons, the maximum diameter should be taken into account. Therefore, compared to square buttons with a diameter of 16L, round buttons with a diameter of 16L may appear smaller because the diameter of square buttons needs to be measured diagonally.
